3D Areola Repigmentation
3-D Areola Repigmentation also referred to as Areola Tattooing, Areola Restoration, Areola Micropigmentation, Areola Pigmentation, Areola Recoloring, or Areola Simulation is a highly-specialized type of medical tattooing. This procedure will transform both the appearance and self-esteem of both women and men who have undergone any type of breast surgery. Whether you want to re-create lost areolas or give your areola a more desired color or shape, 3-D Areola Repigmentation will help you.
The areola is the circular area of skin surrounding the nipple of the breast in both women and men. The color, shape, and symmetry play an important part in the beauty of a breast. Most women’s self-image revolves around their breasts so looking at their areolas after mastectomy can be as devastating as the breast cancer itself. Even a beautiful reconstruction after the mastectomy. A man also relies on the appearance of his chest as well. Loss of areolae can leave both men and women feeling incomplete, and with low self-esteem. 3-D Areola Repigmentation will help them feel whole and normal again.
Many men and women have either lost their areolas completely or lost pigmentation after breast surgery. Whether you have had a breast reduction or a mastectomy our expert technicians at Baroque Beauty Center take their creative know-how and state-of-the-art technical knowledge to re-create areolas that look 3 dimensional and completely realistic. We will help you feel like your beautiful, old self again.

WHO BENEFITS FROM 3D AREOLA REPIGMENTATION OR COSMETIC AREOLA
- Breast Reduction, Breast Augmentation, or Uplift Surgery: This procedure can minimize the scars (peri-areolar scars or vertical areolar scars) and make your areolas symmetrical after breast reduction or breast uplift surgery.
- Pale of Oddly Shaped Areolas: For men or women who feel that their areolas are too pale, asymmetrical, undefined we can enhance the color and shape of your areolas giving them the natural definition you desire.
- Pre and Post Gender Reassignment Surgery: Our expert technicians at Baroque Beauty Center can help you create more feminine areolae after your gender reassignment surgery. We will make you look the way you were born to.
- Post-Gynecomastia (Male Breast Reduction) Surgery: After your gynecomastia surgery (surgery to reduce enlarged breast surgery in men or boys) we can camouflage the scars and recreate your areolae.
TYPES OF COSMETIC 3-D AREOLA REPIGMENTATION PROCEDURES
Areola-Nipple Complex Simulation: This procedure is for males or females who underwent breast reconstruction surgery after a unilateral mastectomy or bilateral mastectomy or lumpectomy. The appearance of realistic, 3-dimensional looking areolae is achieved with cosmetic tattooing techniques and color pigments. In a unilateral mastectomy patient, one areola is created on the reconstructed breast to match the natural breast. For those who had bilateral breast reconstruction, two areolas are recreated.
Areola Scar Camouflage: Many breast surgeries leave the patient with scarring. This procedure can soften scars and blend them with corrective pigment camouflage techniques.
Areola Size or Color Adjustment: For those who are not happy with the color or shape of their areolae. This procedure is perfect for women who have discolored or faded areola after breastfeeding, patients who have had areola graft surgery. or patients with skin discoloration disorders.
3D AREOLA RECONSTRUCTION
Using special techniques, we can create a natural-looking three-dimensional areola and nipple for breast cancer patients undergoing breast reconstruction surgery. Allow us to restore your sense of personal beauty. We offer partial, unilateral, or bilateral 3D Areola reconstruction.
COSMETIC AREOLA/ NIPPLE
The cosmetic areola/nipple repigmentation technique can create a realistic areola/nipple after breast reconstruction, minimize the appearance of scars or restore an areola to a more natural-looking color, size, and shape. If you are not satisfied or simply do not like your areola or nipple, our technician can cosmetically repigment the areola/nipple you desire.
Design, Color, and Spot Testing
We have a complete assortment of hypo-allergenic areola pigment colors. Your technician will help you choose the best colors to match your natural skin tone. For scar camouflage or unilateral areola recreation, we recommend a spot color test before the actual procedure is performed. Since every patient’s skin, tone, and body chemistry is different and will affect the healing process color of their pigmented areas, the spot test is the safest way to determine the right formula perfectly color match your existing areola. The color spot test is scheduled as an individual appointment. It should be completed 4 to 6 weeks before the actual pigmentation procedure to allow for healing and color stabilization. Once the spot is healed and the color is evaluated, the areola tattooing sessions can begin. You should also keep in mind that a simulated or scarred areola will need more than one tattooing session to achieve the best-looking result.
*The spot test fee is $250 ($100 will be applied to your next session).
The test pigments must heal 30-45 days before 3D Areola sessions can begin.
Before Your Procedure
Make sure your doctor has approved your procedure. You usually have to wait at least six months. You must provide a written approval letter from your doctor.
After Your Procedure
For the best results, you must follow specific Aftercare Instructions after each areola tattooing session.
*It is very important to understand that every person’s skin heals differently, which may cause some fading or darkening over time. This is also a factor in determining how many sessions you may need to achieve your final result.
